About Cricket

Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the center of which is a 22-yard (20-metre) pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps.

Basic Rules

• Two teams of 11 players each
• Batting team tries to score runs, while the fielding team tries to prevent runs and dismiss batsmen
• Innings end when 10 batsmen are dismissed or a set number of overs are bowled
• The team with the most runs at the end of the game wins
